Hallmarked Sterling by William Vincent of London Dated 1779 From our Tea Caddy collection, we are delighted to offer this Georgian Sterling Silver Tea Caddy. The Tea Caddy of slight oval serpentine shape with pillar corners beautifully decorated with engraved floral garlands to the central body with an Griffin family crest, banded ribbon borders and foliage drops to the pillars. The lid is surmounted by a dual-purpose tea leaf finial which doubles as the opening handle. Hinged at the rear the tea caddy opens with a smooth movement revealing the contents ready to store tea. The base is hallmarked sterling silver for William Vincent of London and Dated 1779 during George III’s reign. Total Height 11cm High – Tea Caddy Only 9.5cm High The Georgian Silver Tea Caddy by William Vincent comes complete with a working lock and tasselled key.
