A beautifully crafted Chinese export tea caddy made of wood with black lacquer, richly adorned with gilded motifs featuring classical Chinese scenes of people, houses, and more.
The box rests on intricately carved and gilded lion feet. Inside, it contains two tin canisters with delicately chiseled lids.
The piece remains in untouched, good original condition. Originating from the Fujian province, circa 1860–1880
