Circa 1790 George III inlaid single tea caddy box, English. Desirable small form of satinwood with sycamore, holly & boxwood. Lid with fan medallion inlay, Dutch drop handle, & crossbanding bordered by barberpole line inlays. The front with figured mahogany oval medallion inlaid and flanked by faux column inlays. Traces of original interior linings. Original lock & key. Lacks interior floating lid. Provenance: Dr. John Fryer Collection, London & Chapel Hill, from J.
