George II period rococo design tea caddy suite made in London 1739 by John Pero

About the Item

Hallmarked in London in 1739 by John Pero, this stunning suite of George II Period, Antique Sterling Silver Tea Caddies and Sugar Caddy, are in the Rococo taste, featuring flat chased decoration and pineapple finials, and are presented in their original storage box. The suite together weighs a very impressive feeling 50.7 troy ounces. Each tea caddy measures 5.5"(13.5cm) tall, by 3.5"(9cm) wide, by 2.5"(6cm) deep. The sugar caddy measures 5.5"(13.5cm) tall, by 3.25"8.5cm) wide and deep. The storage box measures 7"(18cm) tall, by 10.25"(26cm) wide, by 5.5"(14cm) deep. The storage box has the original key.
