About the Item

Substantial two-handled, cylindrical, antique silver container with a pull off cover and mounted on four cast scroll and acanthus leaf supports. The two cast handles are fittted to the box with decorative leaf fastenings, while the cover has a detachable cast finial in the form of what looks like a cauliflower resting on a bed of leaves. This beauty of this container is its versatility; as a biscuit box, for sweets, or as an ice bucket to hold ice cubes. Weight: 682 g (21.93 troy ozs)
