Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Candelabras Lamps
About the Item
A stunning and high quality true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated bronze, ormolu and Porphyry electrified candelabra lamps. Each candelabra is raised by elegant ormolu ball feet below the Porphyry base. The bases display square and circular designs with beautiful wrap around berried laurel bands and pierced foliate bands with rinceaux patterns. At the center are beautiful richly chased maidens facing each other while draped in lovely flowing garments. Each maiden holds up an ormolu four arm support above their head, decorated with striking and intricately detailed oak leaves and spiral fluted candle cups.
