Pair Art Deco Frosted Glass Molded Column Candlesticks

About the Item

A stylish pair art deco column shaped glass candlesticks with patterned and frosted elements dating from around 1930. The molded candlesticks stand on a round raised and skirted base with tall narrow column stems and with a bowl-shaped top candle holder with a wide top rim. The base has a fluted design and has a frosted finish with a clear glass collar to the base of the stem. The tall column stem also has a frosted finish with a stylized overlapping leaf design with clear glass wider ring collar at the top. This supports a bowl-shaped top with similar fluting to the base and again has a frosted finish with a wide clear glass top edge to catch molten candle wax with a central candle holder. This stylish pair of candlesticks are not marked but believed to be British and made between 1920 and 1930. Provenance: Acquired from the UK Art Market. In good condition with normal wear associated with age and use.
