Set Of 2 Silver Mounted Rock Crystal Candlesticks
About the Item
Raised on oval bases with silver mounted bases with four feet, formed as standing lions. The silver mounted rock crystal foot supports figural form pedestals which themselves support foliate form wax drip cups and octagonal candle cups atop.
Condition: Assorted makers marks including German and contemporary English. Both candlesticks have inclusions and wear to the rock crystal bases and nozzles as well as the foliate form wax drip cups. One with a rock crystal base that has inclusions that reach the surface.
One candlestick is missing its bolt to secure the shaft of one which when lifted comes out. The bolt is lost and will need to be replaced. The candlestick does stand upright without the bolt but for safe keeping and display should be retrofitted. Silver mounts are tarnished but do present handsomely overall.
