About the Item
Invite the elegance of France into your home with this exceptionally carved "Saint Nicholas" long case clock from Northern France, circa 1820. This tall and colorful case clock, is exquisitely carved with bucolic motifs including a basket of flowers at the pediment, foliage decor on the sides, and a carved floral medallion over the decorated door. The mechanism with porcelain face and Roman numbers, has been cleaned and checked up by our clock-man, is in wonderful working condition with original brass pendulum. The antique clock has been recently painted in a two-tone pale blue grey and off-white palette, with stylish distress allowing the carvings to stand out.
