Scottish Mahogany Swan Neck Satinwood Patera Inlaid Tall Case Clock, Circa 1780

About the Item

Scottish mahogany eight day tall case clock with three sphere brass finials, a swan neck satinwood inlay patera pediment, intricately carved fretwork, over an arched door with flanking Corinthian fluted columns, Satinwood inlaid patera trunk with flanking quarter columns, and terminating on squared plinth base with the original bracket feet. The 12 inch x 16 inch painted face depicts a floral motif with a Roman dial with pierced steel hands. Signed Charles Campbell, Borrowstounness Scotland. 18th Century.
