Shou Sugi Ban Charred Grandfather Clock from New York City Water Tower Wood
About the Item
A sleek modern take on the grandfather clock. This piece is made from historic decommissioned NYC water tower wood. The wood is torched in the Shou Sugi Ban method and then sealed with oil to achieve its beautiful color and texture. The high-torque clock motor runs on a single AA battery.
This is a bespoke piece, custom dimensions, materials, colors and finishes (both interior and exterior) can be accommodated. Please inquire for pricing.

The face is crafted of chased silver in a foliate motif with fully hallmarked numerals by London silversmith James Stedstone Gouldsmith.
