Beautiful and also practical in size, Bauhaus style clock. Over the years we have sold a number of striking (no pun intended) Art Deco clocks, but rarely one as timeless, as stylish, as beautifully made and as perfectly symmetrical as this one. The perfect patina and warm colors of the nutwood and the extraordinary coromandel makes this clock extra special and because of its unique design and color it will look great in an Art Deco, in an Arts and Crafts and even in some midcentury interiors. To have found this rectangular table clock with rounded edges was a treat, but to find it in this amazing condition really made our day. Just look at the perfect condition coromandel dial face, how could anyone not like or appreciate this? For it to run and strike perfectly certainly is another plus and it all shows that this clock has been loved and looked after from the day it was handcrafted. The original brass key for winding both the eight-day clock mechanism and the rod-gong striking mechanism is also included. So if you would like to own a rare, beautiful and great condition clock in perfect working order then maybe you should be the next custodian of this 1920s gem.
