Danish Mid-Century Modern Wall Clock by Arne Jacobsen model Roma with Quartz clockwork. Arne Jacobsen for Rosendahl. Steel wall clock with white dial and black Roman numerals, hour and minute hands. This model measures 29cm / 11,5 inches in diameter. Arne Jacobsen originally designed the Roman clock for Aarhus Town Hall. Manufactured at Rosendahl. Arne Jacobsen's Roman wall clock is not only a beautiful and functional clock, but also a symbol of Danish design history. Roman was created for Aarhus Town Hall, which was inaugurated in 1941. The full size clock to this day still hangs on the 60 meter high town hall tower made of Norwegian marble. As the name suggests, the wall clock's Roman numerals help to give the wall clock its very unique appearance. And the Roman numerals on the dial are a characteristic part of the clock from Arne Jacobsen Clocks, which almost floats on the wall with its concave glass.
