Set of two very cute original 19th century carved wooden Victorian era wiener dogs or dachshund inkwells. The bigger one, which is a dachshund head, has a hinged lid that opens to reveal the little glass inkwell inside. He has a nice carved collar with brass little rivets and in his mouth there is a hole that held a crown pen. This one measures: W x D x H 6 x 9 x 7cm (2.4 x 3.5 x 2.8") The smaller one is a complete sitting dachshund, when you remove its little head it reveals a glas container with a cork for the ink. He also has a little carved collar with rivets, and look at its cute tail. This little fellow also has a hole in his mouth which functioned as penholder This one measures: W x D x H 3 x 14 x 7cm (1.2 x 5.5 x 2.8") What a nice set of collector's items.
