About the Item

The Bonbon Chouval  (Horse Biscuit in Creole) was originally a traditional pastry from the island of Martinique. Carelessly shaped as a horse, the biscuits were sold on the village markets during patronal feast. The Horse is also a recall of the Island cultural variety, Amerindians who were the only inhabitants on the land had no notion of cavalry before the conquistadors first brought them. It is Victor Anicet signature to use fragments of Martinican culture into his Art. Each Bonbon Chouval is a one of kind sculpture that brings a unique and contemporary statement in your interior.
