About the Item
This is a heavy alabaster bust sculpture of Judith after the painting of August Riedel. It depicts the bust of a light brown wavy hair female who is wearing a beige robe that is hold by a leather belt that holds a sword in the center of her chest. She is looking to the side with determination. The bust is supported by a heavy marble kind of Tuscan style column of different shades of beige and brown. Judith represents a Jew widow in the Old Testament of the Bible who decapitated an Assyrian general to save Israel from oppression.
