REDUCED FROM $950....Here you have a delicate and finely chased Jugenstil bust of a young lady with turn of the century upturned hair resting on a pedestal of what appears to be a vine of holly leaves and berries. Lovely period Art Nouveau form. The shouldered bust is a beautiful patinated greenish brown bronze and the stepped base gilt bronze...a wonderful contrast. Hans Müller, an Austrian sculptor, born 1873 and died 1937. Born into an artistic Viennese family was influenced by his father, a sculptor, to become sculptor, as well. He is best known for his bronze busts of the Viennese society but also did some of Napoleon and sculpted animals and birds. Measurements: Base 2 1/8 inches x 2 1/4 inches, sculpture 3 1/2 inches wide shoulders x 1 3/4 inches deep x 7 1/2 inches high.
