A large beautifully carved white marble sculpture of "Venus and Cupid", After the antique. The tall and slender Neoclassical Revival sensual nude figure of a standing maiden beauty, her body scantly wrapped with a drape raised over her head, hovering over the clouds with a playful cherub by her feet, probably Italian. Raised on an Italian variegated green carved marble swiveling pedestal. Unsigned. Circa: Late 20th century. A great indoor or outdoor sculpture, it may also be used as a fountain centerpiece. Sculpture Measures: Height: 68 inches (172.7 cm) Overall Height on Pedestal: 103 inches (261.6 cm) Width: 19 1/4 inches (48.9 cm) Depth: 22 1/4 inches (56.5 cm).
