Ming Period Fahua Pottery Chinese Table Screen Scholar Eight immortals Shoulou

About the Item

A chinese porcelain table screen from the Ming period, 16/17th century. Decorated in High Relief With Shoulou on his crane and the Eight Immortals.⁠ This piece is considered part of the Fahua pottery family. Fahua Ware is Either Pottery or Stoneware with a Low Fired Vitreous Glaze often with the Highly Fluxed Colours Seperated by Thin Walls of Clay in the Manner of Cloisonne. It is restored and has some repainting but still highly unusual. Additional information: Material: Porcelain & Pottery Region of Origin: China Original/Reproduction: Original Period: 16th century, 17th century Condition: overall some ware to the pottery, small frits, some chips and was restored in half with some repainting. Small restored piece to left side as well. The top richt immortal has a restuck head. Dimension: 16 H cm
