An exquisite antique terracotta reproduction of the Winged Victory of Samothrace (Goddess Nike), inspired by the iconic Hellenistic sculpture that commands the Daru staircase in the Louvre Museum, Paris. Sourced in Florence, Italy and dating circa 1900, this piece captures the fluidity, drama, and elegance of the original with exceptional craftsmanship.
Made from terracotta, the sculpture features a beautiful natural patina, with warm earthy tones and speckles coming through the surface. Most notably, the underside and interior of the piece bear the original sculptor’s thumbprints and fingerprints—intimate traces of the artisan’s hand. There is also an impressed monogram at the base, adding to its authenticity and collectible appeal.
