This pair of glazed earthenware sconces is a marvelous example of the work of the unique Russian-born sculptor and designer Vadim Androusov, who studied in France as Art Deco reached its maturity, and whose subjects were frequently classical in nature. Four detachable ceramic "candles" adorn each sconce (and are original to the pieces).
