About the Item
This incredible fossilized brow horn belonged to the Medusaceratops Iokii: an herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period circa 78-77 million years ago. This specimen is from the famous fossil-rich Judith River Formation in Hill County, Montana. Its collection was documented in 1996 by Canada Fossils in the Mansfield Bone Bed.
The etymology behind the name 'Medusaceratops Iokii' is also unique, involving references to Medusa and to Loki, the Norse god of trickery. No matter what attracts you to collecting, this exquisitely preserved full dinosaur brow horn is your perfect acquisition in the making.
