About the Item

This rare Brannerion fossil specimen of a prehistoric fish is an impressive find from an ex private British collection. Believed to be from Brazil, this prehistoric fossil fish specimen is over 110 million years old from the early cretaceous period. This fossil has preserved exceptionally with details of its scales, fins and head still recognisable through fossilisation over millions of years. Today, it is a spectacular decorative object for a modern interior, displayed in a matrix and placed on a custom made display stand with a slate base. It would look particularly impressive in a large display cabinet, filled with other prehistoric finds and curiosities, or as the focal point of a wide sideboard.
