White Quartz Geode Slice with Amethyst Formations in the Centre on Metal Stand

About the Item

Stunning white quartz, amethyst and agate slice. This piece is a beautiful natural wonder. A thick band of white quartz with radiating crystal structure holds a heart of lilac amethyst at its centre. At its border traces of grey agate frame and contrast with the pure white of the quartz. The front of the piece is completely polished, whilst the back of the piece remains in its natural rough state. This allows us to imagine how it was spotted inside the mines, within its rough basalt matrix, and how it was formed inside the cavities of volcanic rock millions of years ago. The piece it’s a very decorative piece due to the mix of colours presented; grey, white and lilac, and is displayed on a metal custom stand. Exquisite piece which refracts light from the back as well as the front and with sparkling touch of the amethyst at its heart. The dimensions of the stand can be customised as per client's request. This piece was legally and ethically sourced directly in the prestigious mines of Uruguay, South America. Uruguayan amethyst is internationally recognised as being the finest and most aesthetic amethyst in the world, due to its intense deep purple colouration, the large size of its peaked crystals, and its durability. These crystals were formed over 120-140 million years during the Cretaceous period, and as all of our pieces are formed naturally, they are completely unique and unrepeatable natural wonders of art.

Amethyst Crown Geode Slice with Large Sparkly Amethyst Druzy on a Rotating Stand
Located in Ametista Do Sul, BR
Found only in the Poncio Mine, Amethyst Geodes with Crown formations are a very rare form of Amethyst where the crystal points form a regal crown-like structure, elevating them from the usual druzy formations, a rare and highly regarded amethyst that is ready to find a top spot in your collection, decor, or gallery. The crown Amethyst is the main highlight of this specimen, the points face forward and are naturally decorated with tiny Golden Goethite needles, creating an overall sparkly brilliance that dazzles the eyes. Another special characteristic is the exquisite beauty of its Amethyst matrix, which has been expertly polished to accentuate its natural colors and drawings. It is a double-sided slice and we chose a 360º rotating base, that way you can easily see the beauty of both sides. A project that started with the raw amethyst agate geode...

Intact formations create an impressive landscape, resembling a natural cave or aquascape, with minerals that develop into a beautifully aesthetic composition. This rare combination makes it a standout piece for crystal aficionados, collectors, and décor artists seeking something truly extraordinary. The whole geode commands attention, and the first thing we notice is the calcite. It formed in different ways, with some perfectly crystallized formations adding a delicate touch to the specimen. The main calcite in this piece is a crystal after calcite, which could be a specimen in itself. Looking closely at it, on the back part of the geode, we find beautiful small amethyst rosettes...
