18th Century Chinese Porcelain Blue and White Shuang-xi Jar

A Qing Chinese porcelain jar with hand-painted cobalt blue decoration of "shuang-xi" or "double happiness" symbol representing happiness in marriage, amid continuous scrolling vines interspersed with poppy flowers, a symbol expressing a deep and passionate love between two people. The shoulder is decorated with a geometric key design, China, circa 1700's. Measurements: 8 3/4" diameter x 8" high.
