Pair of French Baccarat Style Cut Glass and Gilt Bronze Urns on Malachite Bases

About the Item

Decorate a mantel, buffet or console with these important antique vases. Created in France circa 1930, each neoclassical urn rests on a square green malachite base ending with bronze bun feet ensuring stability and elegance. The pedestal base is further composed of frosted glass, featuring a diamond-patterned design, adding texture and a cohesive aesthetic to the crystal elements. The bases are adorned with gilt bronze mounts, intricately detailed with neoclassical motifs. Each urn features a finely cut crystal bowl with intricate diamond patterns and fluted motifs, radiating elegance and exceptional craftsmanship. The crystal bowls are framed with a gilt bronze rim embellished with detailed floral motifs and are flanked by graceful handles shaped like acanthus leaves. Both urns are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich gilt finish; the vibrant green malachite adds a rich contrast to the gold and crystal, elevating the overall visual impact.
