Abstract Figurative Ceramic Pottery Vase by Hans Wagner Design
About the Item
Beautiful elegant figurative terracotta vase by Hans Wagner design Dutch ceramic.
Excellently designed Hans Wagner vase with stylistic blue floral and women's decor.
This decor is definitely one of Hans Wagner's most beautiful designs. The vase has a very nice 1960's look.
Hans Wagner uses red-fired clay, often covered with a white tin glaze in which decors are scratched and later filled in with colors. The signature is an H, connected to the W on the right side, with a horizontal line attached halfway on the right side. . A specialty are the name cups. These date more from the period 1965-1972. The range also includes bowls on feet, vases, fruit tests, cheese cloches, peanut stands and the like. But Hans Wagner has also created beautiful unique pieces. Characteristic are the Alberto Giacometti-like decorations
