About the Item

A fine antique American coin silver vase. By Gorham. In a Greek Revival style with two figural ram's head handles to opposite sides of an amphora shaped body supported by a flared foot. Marked to the base for 171 / Gorham's maker's mark (and with an etched owner's '193' 'COIN SILVER' & '8/8)'. Simply a wonderful antique American vase from Gorham! Date: Late 19th Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are some light dings and indentations here and there (especially to the widest point of the body), and the rim is out of round with a small pair of indentations. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, dings, and indentations here and there, some fine and light scratches here and there and other signs of light wear consistent with age. Engraved: KBG to one side Maker: Gorham Fineness: Marked coin silver for silver fineness. Monogrammed: Front Measurements: Height: ca. 7 1/2 in. Diameter: ca. 3 3/8 in.
