About the Item

An unusual antique Paris porcelain vase in the shape of an épergne with a large central flower holder and two smaller ones on either side. Heavily encrusted with porcelain moulded flowers and decorated with gold leaf designs, moulded in white porcelain with gilded edges very much in the rococo style. Underneath the vase, there is a JP signature underglaze. The initials stand for the famous Paris porcelain manufacturer Jacob Petit ( 1796-1868 ) Paris circa 1850
