About the Item

Arne Bang (1901-1983), large and rare floor vase. Glaze in green-brown tones. Ribbed design. Model number 88. 1940s. Signed. Perfect condition. Dimensions: H 37.5 cm x D 23.0 cm. Arne Bang (1901-1983) was a Danish sculptor and ceramic designer. Bang was a trained sculptor and made sculptures in the public space. He is known nationally and internationally as a designer of stoneware, silver and tin. In 1929, Arne Bang got a job at Holmegaard Glasværk, where he started and was responsible for the production of Holmegaards Stentøj. From 1953 he had his own workshop in Fensmark.
