These earthly vessels transport the viewer elsewhere with each embossed stripe. . The Art Deco globose vases are bold, yet discreet able to occupy any space with refinement. Untitled (green), (Kulva Vase, for Bo Fajans), c. 1930s takes form at 5”x5 1/2” while Untitled (blue), (Kulva Vase, for Bo Fajans), c. 1930s stands up at 3 1/8” x 3 1/2”. . Ewald Dahlskog (Swedish, 1894-1950) was a ceramicist, painter, glass maker and designer. Dahlskog trained as a painter and graphic artist at Konstfack. He worked at Kosta Boda from 1926 to 1929. From 1929 until 1950 he worked at Bo Fajans, founded in 1874 in the south of Sweden, where these vessels were created. He is considered one of the leading ceramic artists of the 20th Century. His works are held in museums like Swedish National Museum of Art and Design and the British Museum.
