About the Item

Contemporary art glass vase by Kit Karbler & Michael David of Blake Street Glass Studio, circa 1982. This original design is achieved by their technique of layering, threading, cutting and polishing hand blown glass, distinguished by thin, concentric lines of colored glass in gem like hues immobilized in clear crystal. Signed on the underside “Kit Karbler & Michael David 1982". #3571 This stunning piece of art glass measures: 3.75"D x 12.5"H Kit Karbler is the proprietor of Blake Street Glass Studio in Denver, CO. Karbler studied art at Ohio University and UCLA before becoming a renowned modern glass artist. In 1979 Karbler met Michael David and the two set out to make works that were different from others from the very beginning. Their process of cutting and faceting the pieces helped them to stand out from other glass artists and helped them gain numerous awards and recognition over the years.
