Doug Ayers Signed California Artist Organic Natural Wood Turned Weed Vase Vessel

About the Item

A very beautifully made and sculpted wood-turned weed pot vase by famed American/California (Mendocino, CA) artist/ sculptor Doug Ayers. The organic wood grain and shifting colors are quite spectacular in this piece as are the natural burlwood patterns/textures. Signed by Ayers on the base. Ayers's work is becoming scarce and hard to find. He died tragically young. This piece is made of black walnut wood as noted on the base. One of the best pieces of Doug Ayers we have seen. Quite large and substantial. Would be a great addition to any collectors of Ayers or other woodturner works (Bob Stocksdale, Rude Osolnik, Hap Sakwa, etc.) or make for an eye-catching stand-alone accent piece in about any setting. Dimensions: 9" high, 6.25" wide, 3.25" deep.
