About the Item

An unusual Italian mid-century twin spout art pottery vase in the manner of Guido Gambone with a roughcast finish signed GCC Amalfi and dating from around 1950. The hand-crafted vase stands on a narrow round unglazed foot with a U-shaped uneven tubelike body formed as two stems extending from a wider misshapen base. An unusual and very stylish piece of typical period Italian design. Provenance: acquired in the British art market. In good condition. Rocks very slightly on its foot however is stable and a wonderful display piece.
