Korean antique pottery jar/17th-19th century/Beautiful glazed /Joseon Dynasty

About the Item

We would like to introduce beautiful old Korean pottery. This is excavated pottery made during the Joseon Dynasty (17th-19th century). During the Joseon Dynasty, common people were prohibited from using white porcelain pottery, and instead used other glazes for everyday pottery. This item is also a pottery that was used as an everyday item by the common people, and is a simple yet beautiful pot. The glaze is straw ash glaze, and the glaze is thick and pale, which is a characteristic of straw ash glaze. In Japan, this type of pottery is called ``Kainei.'' It has been brought to Japan since ancient times and has been loved. Although this pottery is an excavated item, it is in good condition, and there are some repair marks on a part of the mouth (marked in red), but other than that there are no noticeable scratches. It didn't leak even when I added water. This seems to have been used as a tea utensil in Japan. The purpose of use is to fill it with clean water and add water to the tea kettle, or to wash (purify) tea bowls, etc. This vase also comes with a foul painted lid. A wooden box for storage is also included. This type of vase is a somewhat rare design among ancient Korean ceramics. This is a recommended item. Weight: 1.4kg
