Large Antique Sevres Styled Hand-Painted Porcelain Vase with Gilt Bronze Mounts

About the Item

This quite large and substantial antique hand-painted porcelain vase is unsigned, but presumed to have been made in France in approximately 1880 in the Sevres style. The vase is done with a turquoise blue ground with well executed hand-painted panels on either side, one showing a number of cherubs and the other, a floral motif. The vase is accented with very elaborate gilt bronze mounts, and the crown ring can be removed based on your preference. The base of the handles are done with ornate cast bronze figural pixies and the base is accented in an elaborate scrolled leaf.
