Large Ewer Hand Painted Pearl White Decorative Vase Unique Piece Made in Italy

About the Item

Magnificent large decorative ewer, handmade and hand-painted in Italy by the artist G. Mengoni for deBlona. His creativity was inspired by Middle Eastern ceramic tradition, whose ornamental features the artist wisely combined with 14th-Century-ceramic techniques from Gubbio, in Central Italy. The result is a work of art owning an innate elegance and personality. The amphora has engravings that delimit concentric designs, the antique white background is bright and reflective thanks to the luster, which gives it a pearly appearance. The details that characterize the surface of ewer, which appear as imperfections and signs of aging, were created intentionally by the artist. The surface finish of the manufact is in fact the result of a refined aging technique, making it a timeless. This artwork is a unique piece. DIMENSIONS: width: 37 cm (14.5 in.), depth: 33 cm (13 in.), height: 67 cm (26.4 in.) COLORS: antique white, pearl lustre, light brown The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique. deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions.
