About the Item
Very nice and large sized vase by Luciano Liverani di Faenza and made in Italy in 1968. This impressive vase has an abstract graphic design that reminds us of Japanese calligraphy. It has a large round shape with at the top a wider edge. In the middle of the top is a hole where a nice branch can fit in, perfect for an Ikebana appearance. With the neutral colours it can fit any interior. It is clear to see that the maker was influenced by Japanese art. The vase is signed and dated at the bottom. This is a rare piece as Luciano di Liverani Faenza didnt make much. In 1964, he participated in the IX Gubbio Prize, Mastro Giorgio, and registered himself as active in Avellino. The vase is in excellent original condition.
Ikebana is a Japanese way of arranging flowers. It focuses on keeping things simple, not being perfectly balanced, and using space well. It's been around for a long time and is about nature, harmony, and being mindful. People display ikebana arrangements to bring nature indoors and make a calm atmosphere. It's practiced all over the world and is still changing while staying true to its old ideas.

Giacomo Onestini ceramic sculpture Italy 1970
By Giacomo Onestini
Located in Roosendaal, Noord Brabant
Beautiful ceramic sculpture designed by Giacomo Onestini made in his own atelier in Italy in 1970. It has a combination of matte and shiny glazed surfaces. The back and sides of the sculpture have a textured surface with shades of gray, green, and sometimes turquoise. On the front, there's a carved-out section that's smooth and glazed with red and gold hues. It's a very appealing and intriguing piece. You can find the artist's signature, "Onestini," on the side of the sculpture. This piece was created in the artist's personal studio. Very nice large sized, heavy piece and in excellent condition.
After graduating as a master ceramist, Onestini moved to San Marino where he found employment at the "Marmaca" ceramics factory. Around the end of the 1950s, he moved to Salerno and began working with the "Ernestine...
