About the Item
A typically stylish mid-century Italian art pottery ceramic vase by the Mancioli Pottery and dating from around 1960. The hand-crafted pottery vase of tripartite construction stands on a flat round unglazed base. The body is of tall cylindrical shape applied with two smaller independent angled vases attached to either side. The body is hand painted with abstract geometrical designs in swirl and linear form. The vase is decorated with a white ground and hand painted in black, yellow and red using the underlying white to define the linear and swirl patterning. The base has various makers marks and is printed “HAND PAINTED In Italy by MANCIOLI” and is further marked MG/20 and 6-110. Epitomizing mid-century Italian style this vibrant vase will only enhance any interior.
Provenance: acquired in the UK Art Market.
In good condition with wear associated with age and use.
