Mid-Century French Ceramic zoomorphic vase by Louis Giraud, Vallauris, 1950s This is a very original piece, elegant and delicate. The zoomorphic shape is covered in a pure white glaze that is soft to the touch. The monochrome piece is a real eye-catcher. The piece is in good condition. Please have a look at the pictures, they complete the description. ------------------------------------------------------- Born in 1897, Louis Giraud is a painter and ceramist in Vallauris where he runs an art pottery making Art Deco vases and utilitarian ceramics. He collaborated with Pyot Thiry, René Maurel, Alexandre Kostanda... When he died in 1985, he left a rich and varied work. Ceramics is a family work since Marcel Giraud is also a renowned ceramist.
