This moon jar was thrown on the wheel with a rich dark brown stoneware. After trimming and further refining the shape it was slowly dried and bisque fired, glazed and then fired one last time over two thousand degrees in a reduction gas kiln. After the firing the bottom of the foot is then sanded to ensure a smooth surface.
A truly unique piece handmade by Jason Fox in Los Angeles that can be used functionally as a vase or as an accent piece for any modern decor.
