1930s Nikolay Diulgheroff for Ginori Art Deco Ceramic Ashtray for CORA vermouth

About the Item

An art deco ashtray designed by Nicholay Diulgheroff for Ginori. It has been especially made for Amaro Cora, italian liquor. It's in perfect condition, probably it has been never used. This ashtray with his decor and vivid colors is an example of italian futurist movement. Nikolay Diulgheroff, a Bulgarian-Italian architect and designer associated with the Italian Futurist movement. He was known for bold, geometric compositions and industrial-inspired design. Richard-Ginori, one of Italy’s most renowned porcelain manufacturers, which collaborated with leading designers of the era. This ashtray is not just a utilitarian object, but a piece of advertising art — blending commercial promotion with avant-garde design. It embodies the spirit of the Machine Age, when even everyday items were treated as canvases for modern artistic expression. Such pieces are now considered rare collector's items, especially when intact and marked with both the Ginori and CORA branding, and are sought after by collectors of Futurist art, Art Deco design, and vintage advertising ephemera.
