About the Item

A pair of breakfast bowls in the very famous pattern Berså designed by Stig Lindberg at Gustavsberg. They are made in porcelain and are 17,3 cm in diameter. They are in very good condition except from some minor scratches and some minor mark. Stig Lindberg designed Berså in 1961 as a tribute to the Swedish early summers many lovely green leafs. Berså in Swedish means Arbor. The model of the porcelain is Bohus which shapes you can see with many different patterns where Berså is one of them. It has become on of the most well know tableware ever produced in Sweden. It can almost be described as a national icon for Sweden. Since Berså was a every day porcelain most of the pieces today shows heavy wear of use, but this one is in very good condition with only some minor marks and scratches. The teapot is on of the hardest pieces to find in the set today. Gustavsberg started to produce Berså again in 2005 but this one is the original one from the midcentury.
