French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Cobalt Blue Sèvres Porcelain Centerpiece

About the Item

A superb French 19th Century Louis XVI st. cobalt blue Sèvres porcelain centerpiece. The centerpiece is modeled after a brule parfum and raised by a triangular base with three most elegant lightly curved legs with hoof feet and large richly chased acanthus leaves. The supports center a beautiful finial with fine reeded, fluted and foliate designs. The supports connect the base to the striking cobalt blue Sèvres porcelain bowl. The bowl is encased in lovely scrolled foliate movements and displays a pieced ormolu band at the neck with a unique silvered bronze background. The lid displays a fine top ormolu acorn finial amidst finely chased leaves.
