Rare Webb/Stevens & Williams Hand Blown Centerpiece/ Epergne w/ Green Canes

About the Item

This is a custom made, perhaps unique hand blown epergne. Made by either Stevens and Williams or Webb it has all the bells and whistles of an exceptional piece. It arrives in a fitted custom order box with the original owner's armorial crest. This exquisite centerpiece originated in Toronto, as engraved on the plaque mounted on the top. The box measures 14" x 23" x 9 1/4" tall. The assembled epergne stands 22 1/2" tall and boasts 5 trumpets which encircle the middle piece.The overall diameter is 26". The canes are alternating apple green twists and the top canes connect to the lower 5 with hand blown twisted rods attaching to the lower trumpet vases. A fantastic and dramatic centerpiece that is unsurpassed in technique and decoration. Three of the canes have been professionally restored and are hardly noticeable. The whole piece is in wonderful working condition with no excuses and completely disassembles into a fitted original box for storage or travel.
