About the Item

set of 4 Tiles from the series "Zanuso 31" , consists of 4 elements decorated with orange decal on glossy white glaze forming a sun. In 1968, CEDIT introduced to the world of ceramic production a factor of absolute innovation, creating a new sample book that, by combining the decors of tradition with the concretely innovative designs of some protagonists of the modern design, interprets and anticipates the needs and taste of the time: for the first time, a company active in the production of wall tiles stands for interpreting the "fashion of the year," suggesting functional solutions and home decorations that are signed by the likes of Enzo Mari, Ettore Sottsass, Bob Noorda, Michele Provinciali, Joshitaka Sakuma, Bruno Binosi, Carmen Grusova-Rihova, Gilio Confalonieri, Franca Helg & Antonio Piva, Ferruccio Bocca, Sergio Asti and Marco Zanuso. Thus was born "Collection 68," which represents a unicum in the history of the ceramics and initiates a vector of momentous change in the industry. The turning point is in the versatility of wall design conceived outside the constraints of repetitiveness, with the possibility of obtaining multiple compositional themes from a single motif; this factor, among the others, helps to definitively qualify the design activity of geometry and of the product's graphic motif as a necessary step for production industrial ceramic material. The tiles are in excellent condition, framed with aluminum to preserve them as much as possible from the signs of time. A wonderful opportunity to secure a work of art by one of the greatest Italian designers of all time and to make or give yourself a very valuable gift.
