About the Item
Product Description:
Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist designed the Kosmos series for Arabia in 1962. The form of the series has been designed by Ulla Procopé. The Kosmos series consists of more items like turins, cups and saucers and butter jars.
Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist worked her whole life for the Arabia factory and her work is inspired by nature. Animal-, plant- and fruits- representations appear frequently on her work. Another famous design from Gunvor is Fructus.
The interesting feature of the design of the item is that it looks like a representation of a flower at first. However, after reading the name of the desing on the back I start to wonder whether it is really a flower we see or a representation of the sun and the planets around it.
Product Condition:
The plates are in very good condition. Some surface scratches are present but these are only visible when scrutinizing.
