Vintage Ceramic Dessert Set Plates in Apple shape, Ernestine style, Italy 70s
About the Item
We offer for sale a set of fun and playful dessert plates, hand crafted and hand painted in Italy around the 70s by the M.A.C. (Maestri d'Arte Ceramica) factory in Salerno, as attested by the signature under the serving plate.
In this vintage plate service the famous "half of the apple" that we have been taught to look for all our lives is playfully bulky and really out of scale, as big as 21cm by 17cm dessert plates and even giant up to reaching the 33.5cm by 39.5cm of the serving plate.
The origin from the Amalfi coast combined with the minimal design that with very few lines gives a realistic effect but above all, the fields of soft colors similar to the chromatic effect of watercolor expressly recall the "Ernestine" factory by Matteo D'Agostino and, precisely, Ernestine.
The set, which will not go unnoticed on your table, is composed of 6 dessert plates and one serving plate.
All the pieces are in good vintage condition, there is a small scratch on the back of one of the dessert plates highlighted in the photo.
