A finely made English Georgian later silver mounted black basalt teapot decorated with classical winged cherub designs to either side and dating from around 1810. The teapot has a decagon shaped body with a large raised loop pouring handle with thumb rest and with a straight angled spout mounted with a silver end. The teapot has a raised castellated rim molded in low relief with leaf patterning repeated to the panels forming the body of the teapot with either side with a low relief winged cherub design one with an arrow and pedestal and the other leaning against a tree. This is a good early pair of dinner plates, hand painted ironstone (stone china ) made by William Davenport and Co., longport, staffordshire potteries, England, George 111rd period, circa 1815.
The pattern is number "659", which is one of Davenport's very few chinoiserie patterns.
The bold decoration features striking polychrome enamels of rocks and different flowers all in the Chinoiserie style, hand painted over-glaze in different colours over an under-glaze blue printed outline. The pattern is embellished with good hand gilding and a five section border pattern to the outer rim, similar to the central pattern with sprigs of hand painted flowers.
The mark on the base of the dish is Godden's 1183, a blue printed Davenport stone China...

An exceptional antique, probably English, white glazed porcelain figure of a recumbent hound dating from the early 19th century. The figure is finely hand crafted with wonderful detail with the hound resting its head on its outstretched front paws and wearing a collar around its neck and with its tail resting against its back leg. This is a bat printed porcelain Tea cup and saucer, by New Hall, dating to the early 19th century George 111rd period, circa 1805.
Both pieces are well potted, the cup on a low foot with a ring handle.
Both pieces have a bat printed design; the cup with a country scene of people by a river with houses, bridge and trees, the saucer with a lady holding a basket of flowers standing by a bush in a country setting. There is hand gilding to all the rims and the outer handle.
