An exceptionally beautiful antique Majolica serving platter, rectangular in design, and hand-painted with an exquisite design of pheasants nestled amid branches of foliage and flowers. Typically vibrant in colour, Majolica is a type of earthenware, decorated with coloured lead glazes, and often featuring designs in relief, which really make the colours stand out. The plate is marked on its base “Peint à la main, FB”, and is in very good, antique condition.
